Kindergarten math · Unit 9: Measuring

Morning, afternoon, and evening

What this lesson shows

A day in three pictures: breakfast in the morning, recess in the afternoon, bedtime in the evening. Brushing teeth comes before bed. A movie takes longer than tying a shoe.

The worked example

The lesson works this one step by step: eat breakfast. Then your kid tries one like it on paper.

The steps

  1. Morning, afternoon, evening
  2. Then morning again
  3. Before comes first
  4. A movie takes longer

Helping at home

Read each box aloud. Your kid circles the answer, then tells why: the sun comes up in the morning, and a shoe is tied again and again while one movie plays. Tonight, ask what you did this morning and this afternoon.

If your kid gets stuck

Think of your own day: morning, afternoon, evening.

Watch it with Lux
