Homeschool math · Kindergarten to 5th grade

Homeschool math, with the record your state asks for.

Lux sits with your kid at the desk, sees the page, and works through each problem out loud: a question, a hint, a check. While it teaches, it keeps the record: days, hours, standards, and worked practice sheets, ready to print.

A child writes on her worksheet beside a parent, with a laptop and a phone camera above the paper.

A homeschool day

Math done for the day, and on the record.

A computer with a microphone and speakers, and the phone you already have. Nothing to install, nothing to buy.

  1. A parent holds a phone over a math worksheet to photograph it, with a code on the laptop behind.

    Pick today's topic

Choose from your kid's grade, or follow the year plan, month by month, in your state's order.

  2. A phone held above a worksheet on an arm beside a laptop, with space underneath for the child to write.
    02

    Watch a short lesson

Watch it together, then print a practice sheet on the same math.

  3. A girl writes on her division worksheet at a desk while talking with Lux on a laptop.
    03

    Work the sheet with Lux

Lux asks, hints, and checks each step under the camera. Your kid writes every answer.

  4. A parent smiles while reading a session report on her phone in the kitchen.

    Read the report

What they solved alone, where they needed help, and what to practice next.

The record

The record keeps itself.

Every session, lesson, and practice sheet goes on the record as it happens. When your state or your evaluator asks, print it.

  • A dated log

Every session, lesson, and practice sheet, made as the teaching happens.

  • Days and hours

Counted from the month your year starts. Add math time you teach without Lux.

  • Work samples

Each worked practice sheet with its result, such as 12 of 16 solved.

  • Reports to print

A quarterly or yearly progress report and a year plan by standard, as PDF or a spreadsheet.

Keep the record 3 years after you stop, if your state asks you to. Turn it on in Settings.

Your state's standards

Lux follows your state's own math standards, in all 50 states and DC.

TEKS in Texas, B.E.S.T. in Florida, the SOL in Virginia, and Common Core where your state uses it. Pick your state when you add your kid, and the year follows its order.

Honest limits

What Lux covers, and what it does not.

  • Math, K to 5

Every math standard in your state, kindergarten to 5th grade, each kid on their own grade.

  • Not reading or writing yet

Lux teaches math only for now. Keep your own plan for other subjects.

  • Not an evaluator or a test

Your evaluator still reviews your kid's work. The Lux record gives them more to read.

Homeschool questions

Can Lux be our math for the year?

Yes. Lux covers every K-5 math standard in your state with lessons, practice sheets, and sessions, in the order your state's school year teaches them. You can also use it beside a curriculum you already like.

What does my evaluator see?

The year report: days, hours, the standards your kid practiced by your state's own code, highlights, and what comes next. Print it, or save it as PDF for your portfolio.

Which standards does Lux follow?

Your state's own. Pick your state when you add your kid: Texas families get TEKS, Florida families get B.E.S.T., and states that use Common Core get Common Core.

What do we need at the desk?

A computer with a microphone and speakers, and the phone you already have. Lux sees the worksheet through the phone, held in a stand or by hand.

Can I count math we do without Lux?

Yes. Add the time on the record, and it counts toward the year's days and hours.

Verify your email, add your kids, and pick your state. Lux follows its standards from the first session.
