Five fingers show every way to add and take away within 5, until 3 + 2 and 5 − 1 come without counting.

- Say the fact fast

Read each box aloud. Your kid shows the fact on one hand, says the answer, and writes it. Do the box again a day later: the answer should come faster each time.
