What this lesson shows
Quarters in a row: 25, 50, 75, 100. After 100 the pattern starts again: 125, 150, 175, 200. Then count back by 10s from 362: 352, 342, 332.
The worked example
The lesson works this one step by step: Count back by 10s from 362. Then your kid tries one like it on paper.
The steps
- By 25s: 25, 50, 75, 100
- The pattern starts again
- Back by 10s and 100s
- Back by 1s
Helping at home
Say each number aloud together. By 25s the last two digits go 25, 50, 75, 00 and start again. Counting back by 10s, only the tens digit changes; by 100s, only the hundreds digit.
If your kid gets stuck
Look at the last two digits.
Watch it with Lux
With Lux, this lesson is a narrated video and a printed page your kid works on. Then Lux helps with the same math on their own worksheet, one question at a time.
